Manager Infrastructure Engineering

About Me

I’m a seasoned Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer with more than 15 years of experience designing, operating, and modernizing large-scale systems across cloud, datacenter, and hybrid environments. My career began in Wisconsin as a teenager tearing apart networks and rebuilding systems, eventually leading me into telecom, enterprise infrastructure, and ultimately advanced cloud engineering roles. That early curiosity never faded—it simply evolved as the scale and complexity grew.

Today, my work spans cloud architecture, AWS ecosystem management, systems automation, CI/CD engineering, and deep Linux and networking expertise. I’ve supported and optimized environments with thousands of Linux servers, managed mission-critical production infrastructure, and led major modernization efforts across multiple engineering teams. I enjoy tackling complex reliability challenges, reducing operational overhead through automation, and building systems that are stable, observable, and effortless for developers to use.

My strong foundation in network engineering and datacenter operations gives me a hardware-level understanding of how systems behave end-to-end. Outside of work, I maintain an extensive homelab, where I test new technologies, simulate complex infrastructure patterns, run clustered services, and explore emerging tools before deploying them in production environments. That hands-on experimentation keeps my skills sharp and fuels my passion for continuous learning.

At my core, I’m driven by continuous improvement, strong infrastructure design principles, and empowering teams with tools and platforms that truly make a difference. I thrive in roles where I can blend leadership with deep technical work—shaping long-term infrastructure strategy while staying closely connected to the engineering challenges that matter. I’m always exploring new technologies, pushing systems to be faster and more resilient, and collaborating with teams to build platforms that grow with the business.
